Please note that transportation schedules, fares, and service details may change. Participants are encouraged to check the official websites or navigation apps before traveling.
1. From Incheon Airport to Coex Venue
Airport Bus — Direct Option Recommended
The easiest way to reach COEX from Incheon International Airport is by taking Airport Limousine Bus No. 6103. This bus runs directly from the airport to COEX, so no transfers are required.
▪️Estimated travel time: About 65 minutes, depending on traffic
💰 One-way fare: KRW 18,000 for adults; KRW 12,000 for children, including elementary school students
▪️Get off: COEX City Airport 2F / Samseong Station Exit 5
📍Boarding locations: Terminal 1: Bus Stop 7A-3 | Terminal 2: B1, Bus Stop No. 21
Tickets can be purchased at airport bus ticket counters or ticket machines at Incheon International Airport. This is the most straightforward option for conference participants, especially for those carrying luggage or arriving during regular bus operating hours.
Subway / Airport Railroad Option
Visitors can also reach COEX by public transportation. This option is usually cheaper than the airport limousine bus, but it requires transfers and may be less convenient with large luggage.
📍Recommended route 1: Incheon International Airport Station → AREX All-Stop Train → Gimpo Airport Station → Subway Line 9 → Bongeunsa Station. From Bongeunsa Station, use Exit 7 and follow the passage connected to ASEM Plaza to enter COEX Mall. This route usually takes about 110 minutes.
📍Recommended route 2: Another possible route is to take the AREX All-Stop Train to Hongik University Station, transfer to Subway Line 2, and get off at Samseong Station. From Samseong Station, use Exit 5 or 6 and follow the passage to COEX Mall.
Taxi or Private Transfer
A taxi or private transfer from Incheon International Airport to COEX is the most convenient option, especially for late-night arrivals, travelers with heavy luggage, or small groups sharing the fare.
▪️Estimated travel time: About 60 minutes, depending on traffic
💰Estimated fare: Around KRW 60,000 for a standard taxi; around KRW 90,000 for a deluxe or large taxi
For taxi hailing in Korea, visitors may use Kakao T, one of the most commonly used taxi apps in Korea. Uber is also available in Korea, but service availability may vary by location and time.
For more information please refer to Coex website.
2. Navigation Apps
- Google Maps has limited functionality in Korea, especially for walking and public transportation directions. We recommend using Naver Map or KakaoMap for more accurate navigation during your stay in Seoul.
- Both apps support English-language settings. In general, you can change the language by going to the app menu or settings and selecting English as the preferred language. For easier searches, visitors may use English names for major locations, such as “COEX,” “Bongeunsa Station,” or “Samseong Station.”
3. Transportation Cards
Tmoney
The Tmoney card is a chargeable transit card for use on airport shuttles, public buses in the Seoul Metropolitan Area, the subway, taxis, and even in convenience stores, telephone booths, and package lockers. 4. Weather Information
Late June to early July in Seoul is usually very hot and humid. Seoul’s summer average temperature is around 28–31°C / 83–88°F, and visitors should be prepared for rain from mid-June through early July. Participants are advised to bring light clothing and an umbrella. Since indoor spaces such as COEX, hotels, restaurants, and subway stations are often strongly air-conditioned, a thin cardigan or light jacket is also recommended. A portable fan may be useful for staying comfortable during humid summer days.
5. Payment Tips
Most restaurants, cafés, shops, convenience stores, and taxis accept credit cards, including Visa and Mastercard.
Apple Pay and Alipay are accepted at many major chains, but some places may not accept them. We recommend carrying a physical credit or debit card, as some businesses may have limited mobile wallet support or operate as card-only/cashless.

In public spaces, especially on public transportation, visitors are advised to keep their voices low. Please note that bringing open takeout drinks, such as coffee or other beverages in disposable cups, is not allowed on buses in Seoul.
The Korean alphabet is called Hangeul. A few basic expressions can be helpful when traveling in Seoul:
